Dreamfund Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your first name, email address, optional ZIP code, the referral code you used to join (if any), your tier progression events, and technical signals used for fraud prevention (IP address, user agent, signup timestamp). We do not collect your phone number and we do not send SMS.
2. How we use it
We use your information to operate the waitlist, send you program communications, detect and prevent fraud, generate anonymized leaderboard statistics, and make the Dreamfund product ready for your eventual use. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who sees it
We use service providers who process your data on our behalf under written agreements: Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Clerk (admin authentication), and a hosting provider. Public leaderboard entries show a first name and the first letter of your last name only. Raw personal information is not exposed on public pages.
4. Notice of Financial Incentive (California)
Dreamfund operates a waitlist referral program. Your service level within the waitlist (queue position) changes based on the personal information we collect from you and from people you refer. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, this is a financial incentive.
The only benefit you receive is waitlist position and tier status. There is no cash, gift card, loan-term discount, or monetary perk. Our good-faith estimate of the per-participant value of the incentive is less than one United States dollar, based on program operating costs divided by active participants. You can opt out at any time by unsubscribing from our emails or emailing privacy@dreamfund.ai. Opting out removes your account and referral credit but does not affect anyone you referred.
5. Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and limit use of sensitive personal information. Email privacy@dreamfund.ai to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 45 days, extendable by 45 more days with notice.
6. Records retention
We retain your waitlist record for the life of the program plus seven years, consistent with fintech record retention norms. Share-event telemetry is retained for two years. Signup-attempt logs (including IP) are retained for 90 days. If you ask us to delete your data, we do so within 45 days unless a legal hold or fraud exception applies.
7. Children
Dreamfund is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 18 to join the waitlist. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be emailed to waitlist members.
